Electricity Department of Agriculture Produce Market Committee,Nagpur is full fledged section, looking after electrification of new buildings, and maintenance and up keep of lighting system at kalamana market project & it’s sub-markets.
For APMC’S Kalamana Market , We have availed 11 KV supply from MSEDCL at one source. This HT supply is converted into LT supply by use of two transformers viz 750 KVA & 500 KVA respectively. APMC has developed it’s own 2 no’s substation, including switch yards, HT,LT Panels with modern protective devices.
The distribution of electricity through these substations is made to the entire campus, spreading in 110 Acres of land, to various auction sheds, shop, godowns ,banks, post and telegraph offices etc., via cabling network, feeder pillars etc. We have our own street lighting systems in the entire premises . Recently APMC has installed five high mast lighting poles adding another feather in cap, to facilitate market with good illumination.
